Recently, a specialist consultation and discussion on the "going global" of China's agricultural equipment technology, hosted by the Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization Institute, was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Attendees included Ding Shihua, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Mechanization Management Department of the Ministry of Agriculture; Liang Jian, Deputy Director of the Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization Institute; Wang Yushi, Executive Vice President of the China Agricultural Machinery Circulation Association; Ning Xuegui, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association; Feng Yue'e, Project Officer of the United Nations Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization; and experts from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences, China First Tractor Group Co., Ltd., Foton Lovol International Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd., Changzhou Dongfeng Agricultural Machinery Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Jifeng Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd., Changzhou Hansen Machinery Co., Ltd., and Taizhou Xinyi Agricultural Machinery Co., Ltd. The meeting was chaired by Cao Guangqiao, Director of the Science and Technology Management Department of the Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization Institute.

China's Agricultural Equipment Technology "Going Global" Symposium Convened

In recent years, China has attached great importance to the "going global" of agriculture, and the "going global" of agricultural equipment technology is an important component of the "going global" of agriculture; at the same time, domestic competition in the agricultural equipment manufacturing industry is becoming increasingly fierce, and industry development also needs to "go global." Therefore, entrusting the Nanjing Agricultural Mechanization Institute to conduct research on the "going global" of agricultural equipment technology is both urgent and necessary. This research can prepare for the formulation of the "13th Five-Year Plan" and provide targeted suggestions for industry development. At the meeting, Ding Shihua introduced the relevant background of the meeting and put forward specific suggestions on how to conduct the research.

Subsequently, experts attending the meeting, drawing on their practical experience, held discussions on the effectiveness of agricultural equipment technology exports in recent years, the opportunities and challenges faced, the technical needs of major export markets, the legal and policy environment and risks, typical cases of successful experience, the main models for the "going global" of China's agricultural equipment technology, and policy suggestions for strengthening cooperation to jointly promote "going global."

Finally, in the meeting summary, Liang Jian pointed out that the experts have put forward very good viewpoints and shared valuable experience. The project team should carefully organize the viewpoints discussed by the experts after the meeting, analyze the influencing factors and interrelationships of "going global," and conduct in-depth discussions on the problems faced, striving to explore a suitable model for the "going global" of China's agricultural equipment technology. Ding Shihua hopes that the experts attending the meeting will continue to provide support in various aspects for this research and jointly contribute to the "going global" of China's agricultural equipment technology.
